What the Batley and Birstall Community Fund supports
The Batley and Birstall Community Fund is a charitable incorporated organisation registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales (No. 1174927).
Applications for funding are only accepted on the approved application form, and are considered by a board of trustees that meet quarterly.
What will the fund support?
Local groups and organisations with a clear community benefit for the residents of Batley and/or Birstall.
Funds are limited so priority areas are given to groups and organisations who support and facilitate:
care for the poor, sick and needy
health related activities
young people's health and well-being
care for the elderly
care for the disabled
cultural and sporting activities
volunteering
What will the fund NOT support?
Legally the fund can only support groups and organisations for the benefit for the residents of Batley and/or Birstall.
There are some exclusions:
national charities unless they can demonstrate that they have autonomy within the area of Batley and Birstall
political or religious causes
grants for the benefit of an individual person
main stream education activities
medical research
major capital works
What to include on an application

Details of your organisation or group. Groups of all sizes are welcome.
Details of the project for which you are seeking funding.
Who the project will help and the expected benefits.
Please do not ignore section 4 on group financial information.
Include financial information to support the funding being sought (e.g. budget, quotes).
